1 st Measure how short you would want these new shorts with measuring tape and mark lightly with white chalk
2nd Use scissors to cut along marked length
3rd for added trendy style fold cuff up and iron down; then win hand needle and thread tie it down on seams to secure look.

Reported today on USA today Monarchs are reported to have lost more than 50% of their population with the changes of weather and the destroying of their habitats and the use of pesticides on growing fields. 
"This year may be one of the worst on record for the beleaguered monarch butterfly, experts say.

Massive hailstorms that dropped 2 inches of ice on the trees where the orange-and-black-winged butterflies spend the winter in Mexico, followed by 15 inches of rain, could mean that as many as 50% were killed this year"
